The Diary Game|| 10-08-2022- Retirement and Thanksgiving Service for Mr Ibrahim Gyatti
Today our colleague brother father and headteacher Mr Ibrahim who has worked in the Ghana Education Service for 31 years was celebrated on this day when we organised a send off party to say goodbye to him having worked in the Ghana education for that number of years and he is retiring.
He celebrates his birthday today haven't reached age 60 and thus is due to retire as a professional teacher from the Ghana Education Service.
In organising the send-off party, a lot of dignitaries were invited to make the occasion a memorable one. Those dignitaries that we invited never disappointed as Chiefs the Clergy, Alhajis and Mallams Directors of Education, Parents and students were all present to grace the occasion.
In the autobiography of Mr Ibrahim, he started as an unprofessional teacher but through hard work and determination he was able to attend a teacher training college at Kumasi Wesley College of Education. After his completion he came back to his community to help bring up young ones to become like him.
After teaching for seven years he then pursued a diploma of education in basic education. After his success completion of his course he came back to his community to give back the knowledge he has acquired.
He also taught in other schools before he was appointed as the headteacher of T I Ahmadiyya basic School.He served as head teacher for 12 years until his retirement today.
When Mr Ibrahim was giving the chance to say something, he was very happy that the Lord has seen him through from the time he started as a teacher till today that he is retiring.
He said he has passed through thick and thin to reach this far and therefore took the opportunity to encourage everybody to continue to remain humble in their quests of achieving greatness.
During the optional speeches the Chief of Asubuasu Santataso recounted how Mr Ibrahim dedicated himself to teach three classes when there were no teachers in the school. Most teachers at the time were teachers were refusing posting to that school because of poor road and also no electricity
The deputy director of education in his speech commended the hardworking Mr Ibrahim for lifting the standard of education in his community. He took the opportunity to encourage other teachers to emulate is Mr Ibrahim that they should not refuse posting to some deprived areas in the district
He presented a citation from the directors to Mr Ibrahim for his hard work.
Another optional speakers also said they have benefited greatly from Mr Abraham and that it is only God who can pay him back for the services he has rendered to mankind.
Several gifts and donations in cash were presented to Mr Ibrahim for his selfless and dedicated service to the Ghana Education Service.
