Not being able to delete posts makes this a terrible social media platform
The idea I have now may not be the ideas I have later. The ideas may not change but I might not want to publicly associate myself with them for the entirety of my life. Also power can shift and can become violent against ideas. That makes me not want to use this platform anymore because I want to have the liberty to correct myself, change my mind, control what I share, when and to whom.
This platform should have a privacy setting.
You make a very good point, but i think in the future there should follow some kind of an update that will make deletting of a content possible.

Steemit is a blockchain platform. The whole point of the blockchain is to keep a record of all transactions. You can edit your posts, but there will always be a record of what you wrote before.
