Scottish pinup in Vegas, Ms. McCall!

Ending day two of @guthrie’s homeschooling and it was tough. His school has really made sure they aren’t neglecting any aspect of his studies. It’s all there, so I had a refresher course in fractions. It effected my ability to write, but to be fair, I was struggling even before the academics. I started chapter three today, and it’s just sitting there. Not sure what to do with it. One one hand, I wish this damn pandemic wasn’t keeping me from visiting @lovejoy and brainstorming, but on the other, I’m sure I wouldn’t be writing if I wasn’t stuck at home.

I was planning on editing more from New Zealand and Australia this evening, but I’ve owed my friend Debi photos for a long while. I had to finally sit down and get to them. Debi and I have shot together three times over the last year and some months. She’s a jet setting pinup and her day job takes her all over the world. Our first shoot was in LA, our second and third in Vegas, and this was from that trip. We shot together during an event called Ladies First, but we had a private sessions booked during Viva Las Vegas as well.

We shot at The Artisan Hotel, and at this point, I think she was fully comfortable in my style of diegetic lighting. Most clients I have want the dark pinup work, and that’s what I’m happy to give, especially at The Artisan. We recreated a shot we took six months earlier with her luggage in the frame. We laughed saying that’ll be “our thing” to commemorate the hundreds of thousands of miles she travels and our likelihood that we’ll shoot in so many cities together. Beautiful shots, and thus far, there are my favorites with her.

And for tonight, that’s going to do it. I’m really exhausted. It’s almost 1:00a.m., and I’m slightly irritated that I wasn’t able to get to the things I set out to do today. @vermillionfox is off work tomorrow, so she can help with with @guthrie’s schooling. I need to break through in to this third chapter, and I’m still on the clock for a new illustration for @eos.detroit. One that I’m really excited to finish. Just aren’t enough hours in the day.
