New work after a productive day!

Hi, Steemit! This day alternated between calm and absolute pandemonium. @vermillionfox and I were able to get some work in at @caffetto while @guthrie and his friend went to the Science Museum. That was the calm. Once we got home, we decided to try and fit three big projects in two a 90 minute time frame. More product photography for La Femme En Noir, getting @guthrie a bath […and to clean his room], and starting enough homemade pizzas for an army. It went off the rails pretty quick. The photography closed soon after we started on account of losing the light. Maybe tomorrow.

I have some new work to share. During the aforementioned @caffetto “calm”, I was able to slay through a few more edits before @guthrie was dropped off. I made use of that time, finishing a few shots from various friends and clients. This first image is of a lovely woman I met in LA last fall. In the interest of anonymity, I’ll keep her name private. She and I made a connection as she’s currently transitioning in to a new lifestyle/career, and this shoot was part of that new persona. I love having the opportunity to document new life chapters.

Liz Garza is a close friend and hairstylist I befriended in 2015 when she worked along the beauty team of my annual black and white Hollywood glamour event, NOIR I LA. She’s gone on to style hair for some of the most iconic photos of my career. She’s a genuinely sweet person and this shoot was in part, a thank you for the years of hard work and the talent she’s shared with me and my clients. I finished this tonight in time for Liz to submit images for a pinup contest […which I have no doubt she’ll win].

The last photo I was able to complete this afternoon is of another cornerstone to my Los Angeles work circle. I met Analisa years ago when she agreed to do make-up for a shoot in Fullerton, CA. Far outside of Burbank, on almost no notice. Since then, we’ve had an outstanding working relationship. Analisa is gifted in both hair and make-up, and this shoot was almost to show appreciation for the hours of work, travel and toil she’s contributed to bring these photos to life.

Thanks for stopping in and catching up on this State of the Steemit address. The most difficult obstacle for me is to find time to edit the thousands of photos I still owe. That’s all about to change. This week, I fly to Seattle. Only three shoots, and then down to Los Angeles. Only two shoots. That’ll give me plenty of time to edit. By the time I come, I want to be entirely caught up. That means lots of Steemit posts over the next two weeks. Looking forward to sharing. Good night!

They look absolutely stunning!! I adore your photos. Do you have any tipps and tricks for GIMP (I cannot afford photoshop) or would you suggest another open source program?

So many lovely ladies in your life @kommienezuspadt and of course the lovliest one your own @vermillionfox of course :)

This first photo, with the corseted waist, that always gets me. There is something about the Victorian silhouette that always feels like 'home' to me. And often why my painting ladies will have such a waist. Really wonderful.

Hello @kommienezuspadt! This is a friendly reminder that a Partiko user has just followed you! Congratulations!

Today I have updated the incredible photos you have placed during these days!
I have more than a week without internet for everything that is happening at this moment and I have missed many things!
I like the abmosphere of the last special photo.

You always get a lot of sensuality with a bit of mystery in your photos.
I love!
