New photos from a classic shoot w/ The Lingerie Addict!
I love a lot of things about my job. One of those is how rapidly I can change an adapt my career, and decisions within it. I’ve been planning on editing a client or two from New Zealand, but out of no where, I received an email from my friend Cora of The Lingerie Addict. She and I go way back. She was actually one of my earliest blog posts on Steemit. We’ve formed a special friendship and she’ll forever be included in my most recognizable photos. She asked for a couple extra edits from a shoot we did together in New York City in 2016.
I dug back in to that old HD and found the shoot. Again, still anticipating working on the New Zealand photos, but I was completely taken by the images. It was like a time machine, and many of them, I’d forgotten just how exceptional they were. I scrolled through and selected the photos she chose, but there was a third that kept nagging at me. It was shot vertically through a series of round mirrors, but I opened it, cropped and turned it, and found a strong image that I over looked the first three or four times I went through this shoot.
It’s such a liberating feeling to have that kind of freedom. These shoots just feel like they’re one at a time, attempts to pay bills and a mortgage each month, but their whole is greater than the sum of their parts. They are a massive body of work and a collection of memories of my life. @vermillionfox was on this shoot with me and she helped assist. She and Cora got along so well, and I loved thinking of the her helping with lighting and wardrobe to create the atmospheres that appear so effortless in the shot, even though they weren’t.
I had a great day. I love ending it with some dark pinup nostalgia, but even before I sat down to edit these, life around the Kommienezuspadt household was productive and fun. We planted some starter seeds, cleaned. Tomorrow, I think @ghostfish is going to stop by for some social distancing home improvements. I have a beautiful writing desk that is about 14” too tall. I’m hoping he can rip a saw across the legs and help in the areas I’m not so handy. I have some great @eos.detroit working coming soon, too. Stay tuned.
Very professional xo.
Very hot photos :)
I like the first one, but all of them is a great shot
