Guerrilla fashion photography in New York City!

I’m slipping back to my later nights, which is just an inherent part of my existence. Almost 1:30a.m. and I’m just sitting down to write this post. Not good. @vermillionfox and I were in bed and asleep by midnight last night. That’s almost unheard of for me. We were able to sleep in, so being fully rested, I think my body and mind are just like “Shit! We have so much energy! We can stay up all fucking night!”. I’ve been listening to The Dunwich Horror audible book while editing for the last three hours. It’s the start of a new week so I’m trying to soak up the Lovecraft for some horror writing tomorrow afternoon.

I have new work to share. This shoot was from New York City in June. Hearing that out loud […or in key, as it were], I can’t believe how many times these last six years I’ve gone back and forth across this country. This trip was a fun one, though. I had a lot of work and a shoot with a return client named Audrey. Years ago, I hosted on NOIR Old Hollywood boudoir event in New York and she booked a session. Our shoot together was great and we became Instagram friends thereafter. She’s a big comic and pop culture nerd, so our friendship remained solid. I always hoped we’d have a chance to shoot together again.

This summer, we did. She’s booked with me months earlier, but due to rain and a rescheduling, we postponed to June. I had shoots back to back the entire trip, and in New York, location is always the biggest challenge. Audrey just wanted to meet in uptown Manhattan near Wall St., and walk around shooting wherever we could. That was actually very refreshing. During my early career, I used to do these guerrilla style “run and guns” all the time. It really forces you to use your creative strength and work with what you have. Audrey was amazing and these turned out so good. I love the results.

This is only the first few edits with Audrey. I’m sending them to her as soon as I publish this blog. She’s been extremely patient so I’m going to try and get her a second set within two weeks of today. Keep a look out for them because she’s fantastic. Thanks for reading. I’ve been bouncing back and forth between writing, editing, drawing and team responsibilities with @eos.detroit and The Minneapolis Green Zone. I’m happy that I’ve managed to stay consistent here on Steemit. Thanks for reading and supporting my blog. For more art and photography, follow me here @kommienezuspadt!

I was about to ask why you had to do a guerilla photoshoot and then I actually paid attention to what she was wearing. I'm not very smart ^_^;

Might be the yellow light but the last one has a movie still feel about it I think :)

Como se conjugan los tonos en tus fotos :D

Nice shots friend. You are talented in doing this. No doubt.
