First look at new photography for La Femme En Noir!

Hiya, Steemit! It’s been a good day. I wrote a little piece called “The psychological thaw!”, and I still feel that’s happening. I’m seeing a return to creativity, motivation, fun recreation even within my circle of friends, and the markets seem to be spilling in to bull territory […I’m whispering that so I’m not the one that jinxes it]. Overall, it just seems like energies in the universe are changing and I’m definitely ready for it. For we crpytohodlers and Steemit authors, this “winter” has been well over a year. I’m ready for a greener season.

I have a couple of new photos to share with you all. One of my favorite clients in a brand based out of Los Angeles. La Femme En Noir. One of my best friends, @michelinepitt, used to work for a vintage inspired company in Burbank. That’s where we first met. She left them a few years ago to start not one but two new brands; Vixen by Micheline Pitt and La Femme En Noir. Micheline and her business partner brought me on to shoot all of their dark goth fashions.

La Femme En Noir is a dream client for me, honestly. I love working with them. I love the owners and their ethics. I love the designs, the esthetics. I feel very fortunate to be their photographer. Recently, instead of shooting a look book in Los Angeles, they sent me several dresses and I was to shoot them here in Minneapolis. I brought on a model named Chelsea. Hair and make-up, and @vermillionfox helped with assisting and production.

We shot at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Stillwater, MN. An outrageously overpriced room, but was able to sneak in for a few hours before friends of mine […clients I’d photographed the night before] checked out. The images so far, are turning out stunning. The last thing I have to do is shoot still photography product and detail shots with our family tarantula and snake. Test shots went well, but tomorrow I’m going to finish this session and upload the images.

Thanks for reading. Really happy to see the change in the tide, and I hope it’s benefiting most of you as well. I have two trips coming up, back to back. Seattle, leaving this Wednesday, then flying straight to LA for some work and much needed time to catch up on edits and quality time with friends. I’ll be posting a lot. Thanks for the support.
