Dark pinup w/ Jessica!

Quite a day! The impeachment of Donald Trump was a notable moment. That’s one of the things I like about Steemit, actually. This entire platform is outside the normal news and political cycles. Things like this are barely mentioned, and if they are, it’s usually an anarchist acknowledgment of failures of democracy from some 200 years. Not political news, I fucking destroyed @tarotbyfergus and Micah, the barista at @caffetto, at Magic: The Gathering today. It’s been a while since I’ve done a nerdy deck list Steemit post, but I think the time has come. 

There was a price to pay for the late night last night. I don’t think I finally fell asleep until almost 4:00a.m. I took @guthrie to school and once I was home, I had to give in and nap around 11:00a.m. I passed out until 2:30p.m. in some of the deepest sleep I’ve had in months. I did send off the new photos to Susan and she absolutely loved them. I mentioned in last night’s Steemit post that productivity is how I fight depression. Yesterday was a trying day, but doing something that both gets me closer to being caught up with my clients, and making a friend’s day with new photos, really turned things around.

Tonight, I’m sharing new photography with my friend Jessica. She’s the model you’re seeing in this post, and we shot together earlier this year. We’d been Instagram friends for years, but I finally had the chance to meet her in Symco, WI while doing a Dark Pinup book signing in 2018. From there, we stayed in touch and she booked a shoot, making the long trip from Indiana to shoot with me at my home in Minneapolis. This was a big deal for Jessica because my style of photography fit a part of personality that the other photographers she’d worked with couldn’t accurately capture. 

This is one of a few more sets of photos I’ve yet to get to, so you’ll be seeing more of Jessica in the weeks and months to come. Things are good. I’m still balancing work, family and friends and creative endeavors like art and writing. There were a few big pledges on @coppercoins IndieGoGo today, and I’m encouraged that @ghost fish and I will actually be able to pull this off in the next week. For now, I’m going to have to call it a night. @guthrie has a winter concert tomorrow afternoon, and I think another nap is in my future. Thanks for reading and supporting me here on Steemit!
