Consortium of creative energy in LA!

Alright, Steemit. I’m at @caffetto, sort of feeling surreal after watching the Democratic debates, trying to assure myself that I really did just hear Joe Biden recommend leaving a phonograph playing at night for the children. Cannot wait to watch these two senile fucks vigorously debate our world’s most pressing issues. *sigh* That’s become one of my favorite things about Steemit. This is my place therapeutic place to vent when the world gets to be too much. Blogging here has become one of the healthier parts of my daily routine.

I have some photography to share and I’ve been sitting on these for a while. This seems like the right time. Over a decade ago, I came across an incredible female photographer not far from my home town of Scranton, PA. Her name is Tina and even then, ten years ago, her editorial style influenced my work. I’d see photos she’d taken and think “…how did she do that?”. We went on becoming friends, as close as friends can through Instagram. Last year, she moved to Palm Springs and we both so an opportunity to meet while I was working in LA.

Tina made the drive and we’d planned to shoot at the mansion in Pasadena. She’d coordinated with LA based model Eve Harper to meet us there, and for a few hours before my evening shoot, we had the opportunity to create magic together. In addition to Tina being a phenomenal photographer, she’d a drop dead gorgeous model. Much of her self portraits are on her Patreon, and she later told me that I was the first photographer to shoot her! In 20 years, it was one of the most rewarding collaborations in my career.

I’ve been talking with Tina about meeting for a photography event in Seattle later this year. She just has such positive energy, I’d love to work with her again. I do have more photos of Eve coming as well. I’m going to spend the next few days catching up on photography I owe before meeting with @ghostfish on Sunday to finally launch our @coppercoins crowdfunding campaigns.
