With Determination, you will archive your GOAL.

Yeah, this is me before and after. For sure the journey doesn’t come easy. I believe in everything that we do, with the right mindset and determination, no matter how big the rock blocked your way, and there will always an alternative road to archive your goal.

Those days, I don’t consider myself as fat, but I have a kina big tummy. It does look weird overall. You can see from my photo above. It’s started to get worst and worst until clients started to talk about my tummy every time they see me. I don’t give a f**k on what they say about me, but not from the mouth of a lady which I admired her for many years, and still admiring…………………. My wife.

I feel the ‘Ouch’, when the same word came out from her mouth. From then onwards, I have a new target to achieve. Nothing is impossible, if you think you can, YOU CAN!

I used to cycle when I was in secondary, but I stopped after started my college life. Which mean I stopped cycling for over 10 yrs. Since cycling still in my blood, I decided to do it again to exercise and eventually wana make my tummy smaller.

It’s an expensive sport. Not only the bicycle is expensive, the parts and the necessary gears (helmet, gloves etc.), are expensive as well. I don’t want to talk about how much I’ve spent, don’t wana get reminded too. :P

Anyway, cycle alone is dangerous. Not only risk of hit and run and no one aware about it, you even can targeted by robbers. So I’ve decided to join cycling groups. It’s fun when you surrounded by people with same interest. However, most of the group rides have the same target, food!

This weekend let’s ride to A, therez a super yummy Wantan mee!
Today after the ride, let’s go to B to have delicious breakfast.
Let’s do a pit stop at XXX restaurant for the famous chicken rice.

I can understand, because cycling really need to re-fuel yourself especially long distance ride. Else you don’t have the energy, I mean seriously low energy until you get muscle cramp and not able to continue the ride.

Because of this, instead of getting my tummy smaller, it goes the other way.

To make thing worst, I injured my IT band because of cycling. It hurts a lot if I cycle long distance. In cycling, it has milestones to archive. Cyclist for once at least, would like to challenge yourself in a 160KM century ride. But century ride is out of my milestone because of my injury. I‘ve consulted professional sports doctor, and he advised to go for an operation to fix the problem once and for all.

This is the main reason I cut down my cycling activities. Pity my bike now resting in one of the corner of my house, collecting dust and slowly become home of spiders.

This is a road block for me to archive my goal. But there will always be plan B.

My Plan B exercise… Running. I can run wherever I want, whenever I want. Morning at park near my office, night around my housing area. Although a pair of good running shoe can cost you few hundred bucks, but it’s much cheaper compared to cycling as sport.

In a year, I participate in many running events and slowly improving. Running have its own milestone as well. From 10KM, 15KM, 21KM half marathon and 42KM full marathon. My aim is to participate as many half marathon as possible and ready for my first 42KM full marathon in year 2019.

After every training, I doesn’t feel like eating. Eventually my tummy getting smaller and smaller. This is who I am now.

Well, because of running, my injury is more on my legs (knees, ankle etc.). Understand from running expert that this is due to running in a wrong style. It takes training and more training until you will get the right style. So I need to do it more hope that I can do it right! Never a road block in my way!

My clients say I look better and healthier now and most importantly, my wife satisfied with my result.

If you what to archive something, never say NO. Never give up. Believe in yourself!
