VERY EASY TO MAKE CHICKEN ORIENTAL || WITH VIDEO TUTORIAL
Hello lovely people of SteemFoods,
It's finally the weekend and I hope that you guys are taking your much needed rest. Today I will be featuring a super easy, one pot version of the Chicken Oriental.
You don't have to be a MasterChef to recreate this dish, it's that easy! When we talk about flavors of the orient, we think about the saltiness of the soy, the aroma of sesame oil, the fresh ginger, the garlic in the background, and all these other wonderful Eastern Ingredients. My recipe of the Chicken Oriental is super easy and I'm using chicken breast for this recipe as the healthier option, you may also use chicken thigh with the skin on if you prefer. Whatever part you use it's guaranteed to come out nice and tasty, just be sure that you have white rice cooked because this dish is best paired with rice. So let's get started!
INGREDIENTS:
750 grams Chicken Breast, boneless, skin-off
1 medium size Carrot, slice
1 thumb size Ginger, grate
3 cloves Garlic, chop
1 bundle Lemongrass
1 stalk Spring Onion
2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
70ml Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 pinch Cumin Powder
1/2 tablespoon Sesame Oil
PROCEDURE:
On a 12 inch skillet, lay down your chicken breast on top of the lemon grass.
Then we put a little bit of garlic, 1 pinch cumin powder, some grated ginger and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar on top of the chicken.
Next, we put our sliced carrots distributed evenly.
Now, pour in your 70 milliliters of Kikkoman Soy Sauce, drizzle around the chicken.
Cover the skillet and turn on the stove to high heat.
Cook chicken for about 10 minutes then add 2 teaspoons of sesame oil.
After 10 minutes, flip chicken and cook for another 5 minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked, take out chicken and slice into smaller portions/pieces.
Add a cup of nicely cooked rice in a large bowl. Add sliced chicken on top and some carrots on the side, then drizzle some sauce.
Lastly, garnish with some fresh sliced spring onions.
I hope you enjoyed today's recipe and i hope to see you on our next tutorials.
