in #food7 years ago

Yakiniku Dinner

My dear friend in Tokyo invited me for a great Dinner at his place. We went to a local supermarket and bought some meat and Yakiniku Sauce and other stuff and started cooking. I had to prepared the Wagyu we bought (it was A5 quality). We had some great Tofu, Kimchi, Edamame and some vegetables.

It is amazing how easy you can cook great and healthy food at home in Japan. The selection of food in the Supermarkets / Departmentstores is just amazing. The Wagyu just melted in my mouth, it was so good. Compared to a restaurant it was around 1/3 of the price you would pay in a good restaurant for the Yakiniku Wagyu.

Ever tried Tofu before ???

Looks amazing, is writing your full time job ?

I spent 10hours on steemit per day (beforer it was 18hours )
writing posts is my habit these days but I won't call it a job. it is just something I love to do and I even get paid for doing it. nothing beats that !

wow thats impressive! So you dont have any other employment ? I would love to spend a few months in Japan but I would probably blow through so much money X -)

Wow! This looks delicious and pretty simple to put together. I love home cooked meals because like you said, they are so much cheaper than eating out, and you can have complete control of what exactly you're putting in your body. I have never been to Japan but it's high on my list of places to visit and a big reason is the food. I am really interested in the things you stated as interest and things you blog about so I will be definitely following you to read more :) Hope you can take a second to check out my posts. I am a newbie on here and just getting the hang of things!

it will satisfy my taste buds more and more.

@knozaki curious how Yakiniku Sauce tastes. Thanks for sharing!

oh my. yakiniku sauce is the best. I dont know a single person who does not love yakiniku saucce! you can go to jp supermarket and try it out. just buy a bottle and make a post abaout it, I will make sure to upvote you with fullpower that will cover the cost of one bottle ;)

Healthy and tasty, what else do we need?
Perfect the way it is.

maybe some wine ;)

Wagyu is one of my favourite types of beef - unfortunately in England they tend to label other stuff incorrectly.

wa-gyu is just japanese beef. so even bad japanese beef is wagyu. but I agree in europe and usa they lable beef as wagyu but that is mostly shitty beef

Never heard of Wagyu before (the name). This old dog learned something new today...following

My friend you are cool) a lot of food!)

I enjoy tofu but i really haven't learned to appreciate edamame yet. It seems a little too plain to me.

I never tried tofu before, this food looks delicious. is that a chicken meat?

tofu is the white dish. it is like a pudding but you can use it innstead of eating meat . it is made of beans
