Fall’s Wet Weather Is Upon Us

Hey everyone! I hope your week’s are off to a good start. It has been extremely wet and cloudy on the homestead over the last couple of days and has prevented us from being able to do a whole lot. So, these last few days we have been taking it easy.

Over the last 3 or 4 days, we have gotten over 6 ¼ inches of rain. Now, we did not have it as bad as @bowentroyer has with 6 inches in one day, but nonetheless it was a lot of rain. The ground has become very saturated, so we are hoping to get some nicer weather soon to dry things out a little bit. We have been wanting to get some hay, but transporting looks like it will have to be delayed until the ground dries.

Well, the extended forecast looks like we will be getting a much welcomed break from the rainy weather. We were doing several quarts of homemade grape juice today, so I am hoping to have that post up in the coming days.
