Blue bird lost her head:)
Hello friends! :) I have long dreamed of an Echeverie blue bird, but I could not manage to catch it from collectors, or it did not fit into my budget. :(
I admired the birds of others on instagram. My first bird was brought to me by my husband from a business trip. She was very tall and with a badly damaged plaque. After preventive treatments, its appearance became even worse. :) But the joy of acquiring a new long-awaited variety was stronger. I decided to cut off the head of my echeveria, thereby achieving compactness and getting offspring. In the photo below you can see a stump with two cute babies. Here they are, in my opinion, ideal, with dense sockets, intact plaque. :)
My second bird was a win in an auction on ebay. During a long delivery, the echeveria was very elongated, but the tip was very small. For some time, the bird grew in its original form, but later I also cut the top. A baby also appeared on a fresh stump. :)
The socket of my echeveria has not yet been updated, the new leaves are noticeably shorter and are already completely covered with bloom. I hope she will be a beauty soon! :) This species grows very slowly in my opinion.
very nicely captured.
many thanks;)
