Well, I might not get these earbuds, cuz Idont really like em. Also agree on the bluetooth with the above article quality wise.
But I have to disagree with you @Jeevesmeister on the minimalistic design. In the US most design is fugly and useless. That means things are made just to clutter, without thought of usefulness and esthetics. Modern design is simply, pretty and useful. Think about modern UIs that are made in Silicon Valley. That is minimalistic design. Apple excels at it. The rest of the US sucks at it: Just look at houses on the east coast. They are all trying to look like a plastic version of what might have been cool 300–500 years ago. And houses are actually made out of plastic here. They call it something different (vinyl) but its still fucking plastic. Windows look like prison windows, because 500 years ago glass was hard to make large so windows were chopped up into little squares, hence we have prison windows that are still fashionable here like the world is still in the romantic times of Mozart. A perfect design of designing something without thought.
It is refreshing to see two companies in the US actually breaking away from the ugliness: Apple and Tesla.
So go ahead buy your cheap shit from some other place and let us enjoy design that is functional and pretty from Apple.
Its ok to be a punk. Go be a punk and rebel. When it comes to design there is actually a purpose of what Apple is doing and getting rid of tech that is crap is actually a good thing.
You can also be a punk by doing something that might not be stupid such as writing your articles on steem or paying with bitcoin. That would be a smart way of making the world and you own wallet better. Bitching against good new tech that is designed well is just.... stupid.

Thanks for bringing up what is an important point. I agree the earphones shown are a bit funny looking - are they the new Apple ones? They are the first iteration and the design looks weird now but tastes change and if they take off they could end up being the default design.
Anyway generally companies like Apple put design at the heart of their products and it pays off in their image and the money they make.
I also agree about PVC windows - they are everywhere in England now too and they look hideous.
Those are not the standard earphones. They are extra ones you can buy from apple for $160.
You will also get regular earphones that you can plug into the lightning slot.
The point is that apple has created a new wireless tech that these earbuds use. I would not pay $160 for them. I don't think they will be comfortable and I don't want to have to recharge my earphones every few hours.
I do look forward to companies like bose that will make headphones that will sound better than with bluetooth.
OK. I wouldn't pay that much for them. Bose are the best for noise cancellation but the sound quality isn't great for the price compared to audiophile headphones it's always a compromise.
They might as well make in-ear monitors like live performers wear.
