Steemit Photo Challenge "The ups & downs"

The Steemit Photo Challenge an exciting interactive photography challenge where the community of steemit come together with a "theme" run by @jamtaylor enjoy a fun
Photography challenge for any ability or age good fun and interactive with a chance of winning prize or even a mention sponsored by @berniesanders and image hosting @blueorgy
all this and with a weekly guest judge .

we @knight-angel are pretty new to the steemit community and are still getting to grips with it
so the idea of the steemit photo challenge was exciting.
We maid out maiden entry at week 8 long exposure.

THE UPS OF ENTERING THE #Steemitphotochallenge

The anticipation of the challenge waiting for the announcement of the theme,
then comes the planning , have you got enough time to get your idea get out there and shoot?
as with most people we work and time is limited making it more challenging!
also due to time zones we are in England we only see the new challenge friday morning.

So we have the challenge, we have made some time as our heads whirls with ideas and concepts ,we reach for the camera and go shoot .
so the return did you get the shot you want you sort and then upload a maximum of 3 and then breathe sight of relief you made it !
The next step is viewing all the entrants with joy as we all upload and ponder
we interact give our opinions and choose in our minds who we think should win !
and the competitors are extremely good and we have seen some stunning pictures and think why didn't I think of that lol

voting can be hit and miss and your image could be lost amongst the upload rush but its a great period between the challenge set and the waiting to hear the results.

THE DOWNS OF ENTERING THE #Steemitphotochallenge

Time limited
so we admit we missed the deadline on our first ever entry to the steemit photo challenge week 8 due
to time zones

but we uploaded our entry none the less along with photos of us actually doing the live shoot.
So now we know we have less time to instigate out entries.

Another down is not reading the challenge brief properly and then realising as you see other entires you may have miss read so you have to re shoot or enter we made this mistake on the soul of the city with was in black and white so we had to re do this one

final down of the steemit photo challenge winning entries not what you thought or in the case of this weeks challenge a complete irrational judging
The challenge 14 was Autumn foliage
Shock was the first thought and then relief as other too showed their disbelief in the results .
Only one of the top 3 with was the one who came 2nd fitted the brief of the challenge @ilanaakoundi with his stunning painting like pictures showing all of the colours of autumn

There were some many stunning entries so we can see why the results came as a surprise to most.
Then came the announcement that @jamtaylor was still not feeling well and he hadn't really gave this weeks much of his time lets hope he gets well soon.
But maybe he should of delayed the results after all the deadline had passed so no more entries could be accepted and announcement made explaining the delay giving all the entrants a fair chance and respect for their efforts
but a rush job and hasty descions were made to the upset of the comunity of entrants .

Then an announcement by the guest judge explaining his decisions quote "After looking at each photo submitted for the Steemit Photo Challenge, I selected only those, which I consider of acceptable quality (nothing blurry, crooked, etc.) -"

Nothing burry ?
70 % of the ones you choose were blurry !

So there we have it, my view of the ups and downs of the steemit photo challenges

We shall continue to enter and as it it great fun and a proper community spirit
would like to thank @jamtaylor for the dedication to this as with out him or the sponsors @berniesanders
we wouldn't have this fun challenge

Taken with a pinch of salt always life is to short so lets enjoy!
