Man was created to believe, and to exert influence on his immediate environment based on these beliefs he has come to terms with. Now these facts; no matter how true or false they are, control over 91% of the way man relates with his cosmos.

Belief is the state of mind in which a person thinks something to be the case with or without there being empirical evidence to prove that something is the case with factual certainty.

Here is the part that still fascinates me about the way we go about our beliefs… most of the things we would kill ourselves to protect because of our beliefs are things which we actually cannot prove. Man truly is a very strange being, because the more difficult it is to prove the existence of a fact, the more you tend to believe in it.

- MEET THE HINDUS

These are a particular species of people who have come to accept that whatever they face here on this present earth is as a result of their actions in their previous lives. Have you ever heard the phrase?

Karma is a bitch

This holds true for all Hindus, and therefore allows some kind of explanation as to why they have to suffer or go through some very disturbing experiences in this present life. So when they see a fellow Hindu believer constantly falling ill, or see one with a disease, rather than feel empathy, they write it off that he/she must have been very wicked in their previous life. The most interesting part here is that they actually think that of themselves.
Now they go through life, playing it quite safe and careful because they all want to come back to this earth void of life debts that have to be paid with suffering. They all long to be free from this law of karma.

- MEET THE BUDDHISTS

When you want to talk about self-discipline and denial of one’s self? You really cannot fail to mentions this special kind of believers who achieve mastery over their bodies with deep meditations that take then deeper than what the eyes can see.
We all think that they worship Buddha, but they would always tell you that they do not believe or worship any gods or God. To them Buddha is more like a role model, one who has reached a peak that they all look forward to get to. They say that he has achieved spiritual enlightenment and also is free from the continuous cycle of life and death.
When they see someone going through some very challenging times or situations, they somehow summarize it that this person is still connected to self. This is because they believe that our personal cravings, delusions and aversions constitute a major factor in his/her rebirth and the only way to win this war of self is to separate yourself from the earthly sensual desires and the attachment to self.
We think they are punishing themselves, they know that they are approaching self-mastery and the main they temporarily endure would assure them of their separation for self.

- MEET THE MUSLIMS

These guys are one of the most devoted set of believers. They live their lives as servants to their god and hope for paradise or eternal damnation in hell. Whatever fate meets them as long as they are convinced that it is Allah’s plan for them, they are fully committed to seeing it through. They have one particular tradition that still amazes me till date, where they fast from food, drink, sex and smoking from dusk till dawn, for a whole month. A WHOLE ***** MONTH !!!
Death isn’t something they are afraid of, because to them, if they die for Allah, they are sure of entering paradise.
This their belief system rubs off on their everyday life. Whenever they set their minds on a particular thing, they begin to exhibit what I have come to call: STAYING POWER Trust me when I say that this is one attitude you need to cultivate as a business owner, heck if you want to be successful in this life then this adept devotion is a must have in your life shopping cart.

- MEET THE CHRISTIANS

I could summarize Christians and their beliefs in one word.
LOVE
They know they can be forgiven when they err, they know that their God truly loves them and is very approachable. Their times of fellowship with their maker THE ONE TRUE GOD, is a time of deep reverence and father-son communion.
This sort of relationship with God makes the Christian a love-filled person. They find it very easy to forgive people because they know what true forgiveness and remission of sins feel like.
There always is a consciousness that they are never alone because JESUS said:

Lo, I am with you allway…

They do not hold back sharing this love of theirs with people. Every Christian seizes opportunities to tell you about Jesus, and introduce you to a more excellent life.
