True Steemit users know of a truth that steemit pays. Matter of fact, we even prefer steem dollars to our local currency.

So here goes my saved by steemit experience.

I did a job for a client some days back; precisely on Friday, and my bank account was to be credited that evening. Seeing as it was a weekend and I didn't want to run short of cash, I strolled to the ATM machine later that same night to withdraw some change knowing fully well that my account must have been funded by my client.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you wouldn't believe that my bank decided to take the weekend off too. I mean... who does that ? Have they stopped having a conscience?

Long story cut short, my client's money never got to me. So, I went a week without some extra cash.

2 weeks gone and still no sign of that cash, even after I saw the proof of payment my client sent me.

STEEMIT STEPS IN

"My hotel accommodation expires in a few hours and I have to book my return ticket home"... my thoughts, and the cash for that seems to be floating somewhere in space. Just then a still steemy voice reminded me of some SBD I could liquidate to at least handle my ticket fare.

You needed to have seen the way I logged in, then transferred the SBD to a user who paid me in my local currency.

Imagine if i had not treated Steemit right.
Imagine if i never stayed committed to the cause.
Imagine if i didn't interact with fellow users in my locality.
Imagine if Steemit Had not CHOSEN me.

My love for Steemit has entered a new phase.
