Currently in the process of updating my witness server software from v20.9 to v20.10 after a small update to the codebase was applied patching some type of potential security bug in the v20.9 software. This update is expected to be completed before I'm scheduled to produce my next block and it is advised that all witnesses upgrade.

More info on the v20.10 release here:
https://github.com/steemit/steem/releases/tag/v0.20.10

No restart is required it seems when upgrading to v20.10 from v20.9

Witnesses Not Running Steemd v20.10

The list below is a list of top 100 Steem witnesses not currently running v20.10:

Roughly 28 out of the top 100 witnesses have yet to still update their software in order to be running the current & most secure version of steemd on their witness.

This list only includes witnesses that are not disabled and may not portray witnesses that are in the process of updating their steemd software currently. Hopefully this mention in this post is enough to alert them to start the update of software.

Upgrading to v20.10 for Steem-in-a-Box

As @someguy123 is currently of abroad travelling anyone using his Steem-in-a-Box deployment method can use the following command to upgrade their systems:

git pull && ./run.sh build v0.20.10 && docker tag steem:v0.20.10 steem:latest && ./run.sh restart

The above command is used under the assumption that you're in the steem-docker folder and have already used ./run.sh stop to stop docker, Thanks to Drakos!

This is a Public Service Announcement

Please don't take this post as me trying to cast shade nor undermine other witness campaigns on out STEEM network. The hope and purpose of this post was simply to inform the network of my update to v20.10 and a call to those who have yet to update that they should in fact look into getting current software running ASAP. :)

Any witness votes you have free would be greatly appreciated cast upon my witness campaign. A link to vote me as witness can be viewed by clicking this link here.

Thanks for reading, voting and supporting me!

For a full command:
cd ~/steem-docker && git pull && ./run.sh build v0.20.10 && docker tag steem:v0.20.10 steem:latest && ./run.sh restart

No need to stop the container before rebuilding, the restart will take care of it. Once it's restarted, do a ./run.sh logs to make sure everything went well.

You the man!
