Back Online With New Laptop!

Finally, the ability to write and work again properly..! Hate to admit it but I'd completely underestimated my reliance on my computer to perform day to day tasks and development. I'd been using my older LG Nexus 5 phone in a vain attempt to perform my administrative tasks but frankly my fingers aren't nimble enough to properly type on it.

Replacing my old half shot ASUS K55N is a new ASUS X555Q at a cost of $566 CAD (~$420 USD) running the 7th gen AMD A-10 9300p which is sadly limited to 15 watts but should suffice.

While not the powerhouse I'd initially planned on building one decision in mind was the need for portability as well as something functional that would be usable for my purposes.

Once I get this new workstation to where I need it in the next few days development will resume on the various projects foor the STEEM network currently under development.

Replacement of this laptop would not have been possible without the support of the STEEM community. Thank you for helping me continue to develop STEEM services. STEEM Forward!

Stayed tuned for more frequent updates and don't forget to vote for my witness campaign!

Sweetness!! I'm just about to replace my falling apart laptop with a new one as well, always so exciting to get that super important new tool!
Also, it is milestone post time again for me, this time...I hit my goal of 10,000sp, woot! And 300+followers. Now I know the last post was ginormous, the bigger issue was it was very wordy. I'm going to go for more pictures and links and fewer words.
This post and pic will work great if you don't mind hon ;)

This is awesome new! Sucks to have the workstation crap out on you when you need it the most!

10,000 Steem Power is a hell of a achievement. Well done.

Might have a look at it. Thanks for the link.

It could go to the moon, very easily... the setup is just having the right mix.

Look at this chart, something wild is going on here:

I know the feeling. When we lost power for a few days, I was going crazy!

My livelyhood depends on computers and the web.

I was able to sort of perform my duties with my phone but as for programming it was next to impossible.

@klye, that's a nice new ride my friend. She looks fast, but I hope she can stay up with you.

It's not a bad litle rig for what I paid for it. Albeit not the powerhorse PC I planned to build getting back online and operational with a work space was a must. I can always build a nice desktop later.

Congrats on the new laptop! I know it's not your dream computer but you'll get there. :)

Thanks lovely. It's a functional work station and I'm catching it back up to where my old one was software wise.. Lots of work ahead of me still but atleast I have a computer to do the work on now!

Hi @klye, I know this is off topic, I but need some assistance with the steem faucet. Can you assist.

I'll look into it. Not sure what the issue is yet.

Thank you so much! Three transactions have processed but the $ have not made it to my Steemit wallet.

Hi @klye, everything good on the site? I saw that Wallet message is gone.

AMD makes me sad.

Better than the shit spy cores on the intel stuff imho.. SIngle thread performance is < intel on the AMD rigs but for sheer power AMD is king.

Good for you klye good for you!

Thanks public worker. Needed a new workstation and finally pulled the trigger on it,
