I haven’t taken watercolor in my hands for a long time, so I decided to spend one of the lunch breaks at work with benefits. I took with me my favorite “camping” set, which I painted in the summer - a watercolor of 12 colors and a brush with a reservoir. Time was limited, so it was decided to draw pomegranates.

      First, I drew the contours of the drawing with a pencil. Unfortunately, all the intermediate photos turned out to be dark due to poor lighting.

I painted the first pomegranate with the main color. I mixed kraplak red light and cadmium red light, put translucent strokes in the shape of a garnet. The lightest spot on the pomegranate left untouched.

Passed to the second fruit. With cadmium red translucently painted over the pomegranate peel. I mixed kraplak with ultramarine and with a brush tip doused the juicy “grains” of the pomegranate. The centers of the "grains" were marked with orange spots, I mixed the red cadmium with the yellow paint.

I added shadows to pomegranates by mixing red kraplak with violet quinacridon. Small strokes showed a wiry texture of pomegranate peel.

At the final stage, I increased the brightness of the picture with red cadmium, emphasized the shadows with ultramarine. Added shadows to pomegranates. Drawing is ready. I decided not to bother with the background, limiting myself to a simple sketch.
