Well after winning 4 on the trot the Manawatu Jets have been grounded with a massive 31 point defeat to the Taranaki Aris tonight in New Plymouth.

After a pretty decent first qtr the Jets went to sleep on defense and allowed the Airs to shot open jump shots, well they started to hit them and never stopped!

For the next 3 qtrs the home team could do no wrong meanwhile the Jets had numerous open looks only to end up missing them.

I am not sure where the Jets defence was tonight but they better get it sorted by Tuesday night as they host the high flying Hawkes Bay Hawks - play d like that again and the hawks will put 30 points on them.

To be fair to the Airs they did play a nice game and their 3 imports amassed a combined 86 points on some great shooing.

The Jets now have to bin this result and focus on the Hawks who come to town on a Tuesday night of all nights, they are going to be extremely tough to beat. If the Jets will have any chance they need to get back to what they have been doing recently which is playing team basketball.

We will see on Tuesday night if anything changes, i will be at the game with @kiwijacobgo who is an official NZNBL Floor boy, you know they run out on court and mop up moisture.
