Travel day✈️ Wellington NZ 🥝➡️ Melbourne Australia 🦘
I have made it to Melbourne and checked into my accommodation so i am all ready for work tomorrow, i left home this morning just after 10am and drove the 2 hours to Wellington Airport and parked the car and went and checked in.
After clearing security i grabbed a coffee and waited for our flight to be called, it was a 4 hour flight to Melbourne which went well.
I got a window seat this time which makes a nice change and we got fed some beef thingie plus wedges and green beans, the beans were the nicest part - it was ok overall.
After clearing customs at Melbourne i found the car rental place and picked up my rental that i will have for the next 2 weeks, i did ask for a small/medium one but hey this will do fine.
then i drove the 30 minutes to my accommodation - thank god for GPS
Its a pretty sweet place with Kitchen/dinning down stairs and bedroom and bathroom on 2nd floor, i also have an upstairs deck and a downstairs deck so i will have plenty of options.
It's clean and tidy and reasonably newish so i will be just fine here for 14 nights, plus it has a laundry and dryer so i will be able to wash my clothes!
For Dinner i had a Subway salad with 2 x Steak as it was nice and close to where i am staying.
That has been my travel day from NZ to AUS and now i plan to unpack a little and sit down and relax.

Well, I have to say @kiwiscanfly that if the green beans were the best part of the meal, then it must have been pretty bloody awful, lol - not to mention the fact that the "beef thingy" was not identifiable haha!
You certainly do travel a lot! I assume it is all work related?! Where are you "technically" based?
There is a TV program that airs here on DSTV called "border patrol", featuring all the shenanigans that goes on at the airports in Australia. Always quite entertaining to see the absolutely insane things people try to get away with... lol.
Hey i did have an economy ticket so i was lucky to get fed at all.
Yep i do a bit of travel for work which i am very lucky to do. i also watch the Australia border security as its a good watch.
So i live in NZ most of the time LOL
