Our Feijoa Tree is still Loaded
Over the last week we have started to see Feijoas on the ground which means they are ready to eat, this is what we have collected minus about 10 that have been eaten already.
The tree itself does still have a quite a bit of fruit that should be ready shortly, this past summer i made sure i gave it lots more water than i have the years prior. This has helped make the fruit bigger and juicier.
Historically have not been a huge eater of Feijoas but i did try my first one just before and really enjoyed it.
I was looking for something to give scale - so i used my computer mouse
And then a Tomato, i never realized Feijoas are called pineapple guava & guavasteen in different parts of the world :)
You learn something new every day, ok time to cut & eat
And here i am showing evidence i did eat it

So there you go, if you want any you better get around here soon as i might start having more

Looks delicious.. how old is your tree? Is this it's first year producing?
It kind of looks like a tomato from the inside... what does it taste like??
Pineapple Strawberry & Guava all mixed together.
Feijoa aka gavasteen aka pineapple guava... Right, I learned something new today too. 😊👍
So, you eat all the insides of the fruit? - like you eat a kiwi fruit?
yes exactly like eating a Kiwifruit

They look very delicious. I wish I had a garden. But it is very difficult to find a detached house in the city. :)
Sepertinya enak,, namun sayangnya saya tidak bisa menikmati karena tidak ada jenis buah tersebut di sini
