Children of special settlers. 1953 year. Among them are two of my uncles (the second in the top row and the last on the right in the first row, the aunt in the first row on the left).
Pay attention to their tense faces and frightened eyes.

And this is several years later the one that is the extreme right on the previous picture.

And this is my grandfather Nesterenko Peter Yakovlevich, a Kuban Cossack. The one that in 1932 was deported with his mother and sisters to the Vologda region as "head of the kulak farm". Mother and sisters in the settlement poisoned themselves with mushrooms and died. The grandfather fled, then was arrested again in Moscow and again expelled already to the Kirov region. That is why in the book of the memory of the society "Memorial" he is recorded twice. All my life, my grandfather lived in the settlement, brought up seven children, earned phosphocytosis of the lungs at the Verkhnekamsk phosphorite mine and the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
Still there was, the younger brother of Grandfather Maxim, his photo was not preserved. His older brother was executed for sabotaging the collective farm movement. Maxim Yakovlevich fought, lost his hand in the war. Every year from the Kuban he sent his grandfather a parcel with apples, he died a year ago. And grandfather did not take to the front, by that time he already had problems with the lungs. We must remember this and remind everyone thousands of times how ruthless and cannibalistic was the time. The old people are leaving, and I regret that all their stories about dekulakization and exile in childhood listened half-heartedly. Now do not ask.
