Devotional Today: Set your gaze

The price is only for those who endure and run the race till the end. The athlete who does not complete a given task will not receive a price. There is a joy set ahead of you, but you have to be diligent enough to go through the journey with your eyes focused on Jesus.

So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” Matthew 14:29-30 (NKJV)

The Only person you should keep your eyes on this Year and going forward is Jesus Christ. A lot of things will call for your attention; some things will look like it but if you keep your focus on Jesus and not on the things around, He will lead you right and guide you through.

Confession
I declare that my eyes are fixed and focused on the Lord. I am steadfast and immovable; nothing distracts me. I run the race set before me without wavering. I declare that I have the grace of a finisher; therefore I finish strong, in Jesus Name.
