DAILY NOURISHMENT

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 (NIV)

God is always interested in directing us on the way we can be blessed, we just have to give hear to His instructions. His instructions are for Him, ourselves and our neighbours. And when followed, we have His providential support all the way.

Two things the Lord is talking about here: things that are good and personal requirement of God.

The first one, acts justly and to love mercy. To be just is to be factually fair or morally fair. It is an act of being correct, upright or righteous. When this is considered, we will know that it is a good virtue that Christians must have as we are the book that the World read.

To love mercy is to be compassionate in all angles not forgetting the word of the Lord that only the merciful shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7

The last one, walk humbly with God. Two things to be noted here. To walk with God and to walk humbly.

Abraham started with God by leaving his father's land to an unknown land but he could not get what he needed until he was asked to walk with God and be perfect. Walking with God requires perfection and you could only be perfect when you do it humbly. James 4:10. When you are humble in your walk with God, you will be at the same pace with Him. Knowing what needed to be known at the right time.

Doing all these will lead us to the direction the Lord planned for our lives and also achieving them. Just like Abraham was able to achieve his own.
