Risk Whatever it Takes

The subject of Eternity should be emphasised daily--- I have seen and met people who say it’s not proper to emphasize the subject of our Eternal destination--- these people believe that talking about Eternity is not good. However, I want to remind us that every human has an Eternal destination. My dear friends, life is too short, I have realised that a man born of a woman is of few days. In time past, people lived over hundreds of years but today the life span of men keep decreasing. Life is too short.

And today, I put you to remembrance that the world is like a market place. Everyone comes to the market either to buy or sell. And when the market time is over everyone goes home. Some leave early, some leave later, but all return home at one time or the other.

It is important to note that no matter how beautiful you are, no matter how handsome or good looking you may be, no matter how healthy you may be, no matter how famous, popular you are, no matter how wealthy or rich you may be, we will all die someday.
Whether or not you are doing well in life, you must leave the world one day. What preparations are you making for your return home? In case you are doing well in life, consider this: the bible asks, what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
If you are not doing so well in life today, you will need to consider your ultimate journey home. Why should you lose in the world and lose again in the world to come?

Where will you spend Eternity my dear friend? Remember we will either go to a place called Heaven or a place called Hell.
Note: This post is not to make you afraid but to warn us of the danger of hell and to invite you to spend eternity in heaven. There is always a good news--- the good news is that there is a place called Heaven and Jesus wants each one of us to spend Eternity in Heaven, which is one of the reasons Jesus died for you and I.

Today, God is calling you and I to give up our sinful ways and accept Jesus into our lives. Remember, you must be born again to enter into the kingdom of God, we must get rid of those things we know are threats to our salvation, we must live for Jesus daily. You must risk whatever it takes….
If you are yet to make Jesus Lord of your live or you may have backslid, pray this prayer and mean it with all your heart.
Father, I come to you now- just as I am. I confess that you have spoken to me. I cannot, do not want to deny and disregard your voice in my life any longer. I confess and repent my lost state and my sins before you. Forgive me please. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour now. I come to you now, Lord the best way I know how, and ask you to save me. I now receive you as my saviour. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
