Steemit Will Be The New Reddit
While alot of peopel compare Steemit to Facebook actually - this is the new Reddit.
Subreddits - Tags
Voting - Paying Steem Dollars
Power Users - Steem Power users
Remember how much Reddit is censored now and how much used for politics.
Its copy https://voat.co/ had MAD success overnight (constantly killing servers).
If we do this right, this is going to be the new Reddit, withotu censorship and with money making for posts.
I personally love systems that make you - put your money where your mouth is. And thats what our voting does.
"Steem - put your money where your mouth is"
Could be a slogan for Augur as well :D
If this is to become the new reddit, it needs a little bit of an easier way to curate the front page, I.E. something more like reddits sub-reddit system.
This system allows for freedom speech fantastic!
How well will the Steem servers hold up to a spike in traffic? Capitalizing on that momentum, when it happens, is what will lead to success. Crashing can turn thousands and thousands of potential users away.
+1, didn't think of that on yet!
yes. it is future reddit
Very true, but we do need the ability to follow tags... Otherwise, there is just too much stuff that does not interest me.
I see it as a mixture of both worlds, it definitely has more Reddit qualities you're 100% right there, but I could see steemit taking a significant portion of people away from both Reddit and Facebook.
We'd need a little more organization for say pages we enjoy looking at over just hot or trending topics but other then that I think this site has the potential to appeal and steal both styles of users and cater to them both as well. At least I hope so?
It will be long till Redditors start steeming
