I've done this by downloading all my keys on Steemit to my laptop in a pdf format and making sure it is well saved.
What is the function of each of these keys and these restrictions ?
the function of the keys and below is my explanation of how the keys operate
posting the key; This key allows the user to login, respect, post, edit, vote, comment, follow and mute accounts. All these actions are possible when a user is logged-in. And as the name suggests, it is always advisable to log-in using this key.
active key; This key enables functions such as transfer of funds, power up/down, transactions, converting Steem dollars, updating profile details, placing market orders, voting for witnesses, etc.
owner's key; This key is the most powerful key because of its ability to replace any key, including the owner key. This key comes in handy when your account is being compromised.
memo key; This key is used to encrypt and decrypt the memo when funds are transferred.
How does one arrange to keep your master password?
I created duplicate copies of those keys then keep them within the cloud on completely different servers, and I written out a tough copy that I detain a secure place out of my reach.
