Promoted Posts - How? Why? When?
Hello friends,
Today I was ponderting the wonders of Steemit, and I realized that I have yet to find a good post on the pros/cons of promoting my post. So I tried it for the first time today as a test, just to see what would happen. As far as I can tell, my SBD was sent to an address called @null. I then went looking for my promoted post on the promoted tab, and found nothing.
So my question to the more experienced and well educated Steemit Members is this...
Why should someone use paid promoting?
When would be the best times to use it?
How much should a user pay to Promote?
Is there any kind of access to reporting to determine the ROI of promoting?
Is @null a dead address? Does that mean the SBD were burned?

Hoping, for your sake, the post is just delayed somehow...
I also tried to promote a post, could not figure out how to do it. Not sure how to get sbd. Anyone?
You can purchase it on the Steemit Market using Steem. You can buy it on most exchanges as well. :)

I had to scroll a bit, but I did find this under the promoted tab.
Let's all remember that Steemit is just 1 year old.
It hasn't even got a sophisticated App yet to rival Facebook or Instagram.
I'm sure the developers of Steemit have considered each point you've
raised concerning the promoted posts.
Just give Steemit time to incorporate added features,
and it will make all difference :)
