KINGBLACK.. THE NYSC EXPERIENCE #1
Kingblack is a serving corp member at Abalama Asari Toru LGA of Rivers state. I do understand if you dont know where in the world i am rite now.
That is not the issue though, since i want to share our water troubles.
At 6am every morning the water is pumbed to the corpers tank the water in the tank is supposed to last for at least a day but there are several leakages i could only capture one. The water lasts for as long as we are fetching and then the tank is empty.
This has caused a traffic although its not that bad but it is making us lose our civilization.
Since we dont get any stipends from our immediate employer most of the corp members have refused to give to the repair of the broken pipes.
We are supposed to enjoy running water in our rooms i.e kitchen and toilet. We have instead enjoyed carrying water on slippery tiles which is hazardous..
Things are not that bad at least we have clean water. Initialy, when we arrived this place, we had to cook with water from an open well. I would have shown you an image but its too dangerous for my fone. It could fall in. We fell sick like it was our birthright to be ill.
I dont know if i am complaining or just writing a post..

I remember before when I was a kid we used to fetch water in our neighborhood since our province is not that fully developed, I and my sisters used to do that every day and yet we are thankful that now our younger siblings didn't experience that, it must be hard seeing them doing that.
Hi. Pinnay. I almost fell oneday on the slipery tiles with my buckets of water.
Water is a vital resource for our life, it is wrong that only a few can enjoy it and others can not @ kingblack
