Here are five codes that you can easily implement into your steemit posts to help you have better formatting and readability. These codes are quick and easy and you can start using them right away. Well then, let's get started. ✍

1) Header Code

To make a header code you need to start a new sentence with a number sign (#)followed by a space than the text which you wish to have as a header. Like so: # header text. Using a single number sign (#) will produce the largest header but you can use up to six and the results will be as follows.

Header 1

Header 2

Header 3

Header 4

Header 5
Header 6

2) Emphasizing a text

You can emphasize a text by making it bold, italic or both bold and italic. To make a text bold you first type in four historic then place the text in between ( two asterisks on either side of the text) without any spaces. Like this:

The results will be as follows.

Bold Text
Italitic Text
Bold And Italic Text

3) Divide Line

To add a divider line separating texts or paragraphs in your post simple enter three underscores (___) in a new line. The results will be as follows:

4) Add a linked image

To add an image with a link we need to use the following syntax:

Like so:

lo.PNG

The results will be as follows:

The Lone Wolf

5) Make a list

There are two types of lists, ordered and unordered lists. An ordered list is one that is numbered and the unordered list are just like short bullet points. To make a numbered list you first enter the number for each item in the list in a new line. After the number, you must enter a period or full stop followed by a space then the text you wish to have in that item. Like so:

list.PNG
The results will be like so:

  1. This is my first item
  2. This is my second item
  3. You get the picture

To make an unordered list you simply enter one asterisk followed by a space then the text you wish to have in the list. You must do this in a new line for each item in the list. You can also you a dash or minus sign for this. Your text in a new line should look like this:

es.PNG

These are the results of doing so:

  • This is my first Item
  • This is my second item
  • This is my third item
  • Damn I love this post

6 Add a text link

If you want to link to a website URL you need to follow this syntax: first place the text you wish to highlight in squared brackets [] followed by the URL you wish to link to in curly brackets (). It should look something like this:

ran.PNG

The results will look like this:

Random URL you should only click at your own risk .

If you click on that highlighted text above it will take you to the track I am listening to right now. It's a killer track.

7) Embed A video

To add a video to your text from youtube or some other online website you must simply get the embed code from that video and then place it into your text where you would like for it to appear. You can get this code on youtube for example, by right-clicking on the video and copying the code. The code should look something like this:

co.PNG

This is the result:

8) Quotes

To add quotes use the following syntax:

qu.PNG

I seriously just learned this today. Here is how it will look.

The only thing constant is change.

9) Tables

Okay, this one is a bit savvier so just take a keen look, after a few tries you will get it down to a T.

table.PNG

This is what your table will look like:

Table 1Table 2
TEDDY BEAREverywhere
Gummy BearI don't even care

If you are wondering how to get the vertical line in there please watch this quick video.

Escaping

Lastly, if you would like to type texts like what's up dude without it being italic so that the asterisks will show then this is how you do it:

what's up.PNG

Here are the results:

*what's up dude*

That's true.. I am a vegan myself and in love with food. I am starting to eat more and more raw foods and I am completely illuminated. One thing that is sad though, is seeing all the chemicals that they add to our foods, something to avoid.

Thanks for this! I am going to resteem it for selfish reasons! I want to find it whenever i need it!
