A Souffle Weekend

Oops, I just missed the last contest for My Favourite Dessert, but it is ok as I think it is still worth a try for this weekly contest. Anyway, I just believe that sharing about my exploration weekly here is something fun. So far, this is my third post sharing on @tasteem and things has been quite exciting for me. Last one I think I managed to get to top 10, which is not bad in my own view. Well, let's keep on trying and make good reviews for the community :)
So this was my weekend outing again with my beloved @enjiliew. She was craving for something sweet but not too heavy and she just had her waffle craving checked (ouch, I wanted a waffle actually). Then, we searched for some special cafe around Puchong area as we did not want to travel far for the weekend. Tiring month for us to be honest with constant travelling up norht and down south. While we were googling, there was one cafe that caught our eyes which was Souffle with very catchy photos of the shop. Well, another Instagrammable cafe. Since we never tried Souffle before, so we just opted for this one for a try.
The shop was situated at the first level of a row of terrace shops. For visitors, we needed to look closely as the entrace is actually hidden at the side of the ground floor and there is a signboard that pointed up saying Souffle with their business hour. Walking up the well deco stairway, we were welcomed with a packed crowd and queue. No doubt, the place smelled nice as there are waffle and coffee (best combination still in my opinion). We were greeted by a friendly waitress (most of staffs are females) with front end are by Chinese and back end are foreign workers (smart boss). She took my name and number of capacity then rushed off to other customers. While waiting, we scouted around the small cafe to look around the environment. The place was renovated with minimalistic deco but I liked how they did it. The special thing with their cafe, which we think is their way to maximize profit margin is that their raw food materials are only flour, sugar, flavoring, fruits, coffee and tea! Most of their food are made with machines. Even their ice cream were from the machines like what we see in McDonald's or Family Mart.
After waiting for around 20 minutes, we finally get our seats in a tight corner. The overall atmosphere was pretty warm as the place was too crowded. When we were to leave the place at around 4pm, then only the crowd get lesser. If not, the queue was crazy. After about 15 minutes, our dessert was served. We only ordered their classic souffle with Matcha ice cream which costed around RM26 after tax. The souffle tasted like a very soft spoungy puff, by mixing it with ice cream or honey, it tasted fine. While just tasting it just like that, I would not consider as fine. I like how they serve their plain water whereby the had their water filter hidden well and made a "water fountain" for us to get ourselves H2O. After several bites and enjoying stories of Elon Musk while she scrolling through Instagram, we finally made our way out as it was not that comfortable afterall.
The place may be a good place to be if it is partially occupied, have not tried their waffle, so perhaps another time back for their waffle :P
