Melbourne is by no means tropical or arid, but the summers here can really be energy draining.
Do you prefer the summer heat or the winter chill?

Are you crazy or is it the rest of society? Good to see your back. I don't mind that dry heat down south; its the humidity which gets to me in the Northern Australian summers.
I would swap a few days of -20 for +40 at the moment lol ;-)
-20 might be too much...Melbourne winter is ok.
humid heat in Darwin...no thanks
It's all about what you have acclimatized to. From -20 or Darwin heat its all fine if your used to it. Its the rapid flicking back and forth which is hard which is what makes Melbourne weather so tough.
