Gaming with Neverwinter Nights Again
Much of my free time has been shifting into playing Dungeons and Dragons using a classic game from back around the 2003 timeframe.
Neverwinter Nights has been brought back to life after dying out for nearly a decade. Beamdog is a new gaming company that took over the project and they are really breathing new life into it.
They are fixing all of the old bugs, adding new rendering engines, better graphics, and database support. The game is old, so it runs on absolutely ANY computer you might have lying around. The hardware requirements are very modest.

I am currently running a NWN Persistent World that I have designed from the ground up. I have been hard at work on it since October of 2020.
There is a lot to talk about here, so I am going to break it up into several posts.
However there are lots of properties (homes, mansions, castles) that can be purchased in game, there are even bases that can be captured freely and further secured by building armies. Players can mount their armies on horseback and play in a full Player vs. Player realm. Players can team up together as well, which is always the fastest way to gain power.
We have been testing the server for a couple months heavily now, and most of the bugs are all worked out. We are just about ready to start playing very regularly.
I am real excited about it, so I thought I better start posting and showing off the server here.
