Chris Cornell Tributes All Around the World
Tributes to Chris Cornell by many of his friends and peers have appeared on You Tube over the past week. Not to mention the absolutely heartbreaking letter written to him by his wife, while she defends his suicide as a side-effect of an anti-anxiety drug he was taking at the time.

It is really cool to hear these people, who are such huge inspirations to me, feeling the same way I do about this situation. They each speak a little about what Cornell meant to them before getting started and I totally dig every bit of it.

Metallica is no stranger to losing such a huge piece of the band unexpectedly. Which is probably why they tied the tribute to their old bass player Cliff Burton as well.

Grohl has also been through a very similar situation when Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain, committed suicide. Obviously, Grohl has some pretty deep things to say here.

Morello performs one of my all-time favorite guitar solos here and everything was perfectly in place... Except of course, for the absence of any lyrics at all. It's awesome, but will never be the same.

Love it. Always loved Chris Cornell, my dad was a huge fan, always played his music from Soundgarden to Audioslave to his unplugged stuff. I loved all of it. I also learned not too long ago that my grandmother worked with Chris' step mother here in Seattle. I thought that was pretty cool.
That is pretty cool, yea I know so many people over the years that must be feeling this one. It is hard to explain but I can think of people that I knew 25 years ago, people I have not spoken to in 20 years and probably never will again. I know very little about them anymore but what I do know, is that they felt this one. We are all connected, ya know?

Thanks man, Google and You Tube will try to suggest things it thinks you might like. So it kept suggesting this stuff to me all day yesterday and I kept listening. Some of these guys, Dream Theatre, Dave Mustaine, Cobain, Burton are folks we talk about a lot so I was kinda thinking about you during this. I figured you would like it, so that is why I shared!
I can't listen to them all yet. My wife is still asleep behind me, so I can't really blast my music until she wakes up. I could put on some headphones, but I figure I only need to wait a little longer.
