Two challenges of watching DTube

As a video junky and a believer in steem, I like to allocate some of my video watching time to DTube and help curating the content, but there's two big challenge in front of me.

First: finding videos that are interesting for me

Over the years YouTube have recorded my history and learned what type of videos I usually watch, it shows me videos I might be interested in, at the homepage. makes finding the next video to watch very easy. it doe frustrating things like throwing in lots of videos I already watched and keeps the videos I ignore on the list for way too long but at the end it's not that hard to find something new and interesting.
Switching over to DTube I don't have that history available and found myself scrolling through videos without selecting one to watch, knowing the number of videos on DTube is smaller I don't expect tons of videos but there should be a way to filter them... well there is, the tags on the side is one big advantage DTube has over YouTube that I haven't even seen where it's tags are, but when I clicked the art tag, the list was empty.
I remembered that tag search doesn't include posts older than seven days and that's the big problem in front of discovering channels with good content. few solutions comes to mind, adding tags to channels, making play lists and separate tagging system, but I'm not sure if I can get the attention of DTube developers to look into it.

Second: Making sure that the video is original

When I find a video I like and I want to up-vote, I face the next conundrum: Is this video the work of this creator or is it a stolen video from somewhere?
DTube needs a way to verify the channels that create original content and let us know that it's ok to up-vote a video without worrying about stolen content, There are anti plagiarism bots constantly cleaning posts on steem but as one who gets to the videos as they are posted, it's not easy to rely on bots, plus, checking videos is not as easy as text and images.

TL;DR

DTube needs playlists, channel tags and original creator verification to bring in more viewers and curators.
