Edvard Munch is a Norwegian painter born in 1863 and died in 1944.
He was one of the most prominent expressionist painters.
There is a collection of four paintings called Scream, one of which I am going to introduce.
Scream painting is affected by the hardships he had as a child.
The theme of Munch's paintings is more anxiety, fear and inner feelings.

Munch mentions a memory of his paintings:
"One evening I was walking on the road; On one side of my path was the city and below me was Abdere. I was tired and sick. I stood and looked across the abyss; The sun was setting. The clouds were red, like blood. I felt a scream pass through the heart of this nature; I thought I was pregnant with this scream. I took this picture. I drew the clouds in the color of real blood. The colors were screaming. "It was the scream that emerged from the trilogy of the inscription.

Some say the eruption of Indonesia's Krakatoa volcano in 1883 caused Monk to paint the painting.
Because it is said about these events that such a sound has risen from the sky that no human has ever heard.
The scattering of ash caused the sunlight to refract, creating a red spectrum in the sky.
Munch said :
"I heard a A loud and endless cry that has passed through nature."
Scream painting is so powerful that it creates fear in the viewer. And it is difficult to understand the good feeling by seeing it.
The viewer's sense of homosexuality causes him, like the main character, to put his hands on his ears and try not to hear the voice.
But it seems that although the main character has closed his ears, he has not managed to prevent hearing a terrible voice.
Interestingly, there are two other people in the picture who are very cool and unimportant to the situation where they are.
Picture frame:
The main character is somewhat in the center of the frame and attracts the viewer's attention.
The red sky dominates the lower part of the painting with more space in the frame.
Colors:
Paintings in blue and orange, each of which is a warm and cool color, are placed in such a way that they are in competition with each other.
And the contrast that is induced by these colors to the viewer, in a way indicates -night and day-
and -anxiety and calm- .
And mobility and dynamism is felt in the colors.
Final sentence:
Scream is Edvard Munch's masterpiece of expressionism, entitled his most expensive painting.
This painting is in the style of oil paint and its dimensions is 73.5×91 cm.
The painting is now housed in the Oslo Museum in Norway.
I hope you like what I have prepared for you and that it is useful for you.
Thank you.
