Vacations are usually my favorite time of the year. This is because you get to relax, spend quality time with friends and loved ones, travel to places of interest, have time for personal development such as improving mental health, cultivating gratitude, developing self-esteem among others. I enjoy my vacations especially my last one.

I spent my last vacation in Greater Accra, Ghana. I had a swell time there. I visited many places of interest. I would like to talk about one - Legon Botanical Gardens. It is a recreational center located at Agbogba Junction, Off Haatso- Atomic Road, Accra.

WHY DO I LIKE LEGON BOTANICAL GARDENS?
The Legon Botanical Gardens is a wonderful place to observe creation. It has a wide range of plant species which beautifies the garden. It is an ideal place for both adventure and recreation. I enjoy watching the birds fly around the garden.

PUBLIC FACILITIES AVAILABLE
Legon Botanical Gardens has a range of fun filled activities lined up for you. It has a long canopy walkway of which I was opportuned to walk on.

Apart from the canopy walkway, you can do other interesting activities such as canoeing, Zipline which is a rope course with amazing challenges. There is a playground for children filled with many challenges. Other activities include fishing and cycling. It is an ideal place for picnics, games and other outdoor activities. It has beautiful sit-outs with fascinating views.

In addition to all these, Legon Botanical Gardens has tuck shops where snacks, ice cream and drinks are sold to ensure you have a pleasant visit.

MY RECOMMENDATION
Visiting Legon Botanical Gardens was one of the highlights of my stay in Ghana. If you ever visit Ghana, I highly recommend the Legend Botanical Gardens. It is a really nice place. If you are a lover of adventure, then try out the zipline. Legon is packed with awesome activities all lined up for you. It is one of the places you should visit. It is owned by the University of Ghana and I hope you enjoy your visit there like I did.
