Summer 2018 feels like...

Every year, we (my husband’s side) spent our Holy Week season on a summer outing wherein everyone is available for a long weekend. And for this year, the manangs decided to go to Catanauan, Quezon.

Our travel from Commonwealth, Quezon City to Catanauan, Quezon (293 km via Gumaca-Pitogo-San Narciso Rd) took 8 hours ( from 1:30 am to around 9:00 am).

Upon arrival, we just rest for a while on the cottage we booked for reservation (for P2000 with free 2 mattresses, 2 comforters and set of pillows) then prepare the foods we already cooked at home for lunch.

While we are busy, the kids are all ready for swimming. Regardless of the tiring travel and hunger, they all jumped into the pool after changing their clothes.

The Swimming Pool

The resort has a kiddie pool of about 4 feet deep only. So, it's safe for the kids to swim.

I must say that they really enjoyed the pool. My daughter in pink salbabida (lifebuoy) really enjoyed the water and got sunburn on that day. She cried a lot when I took her out of the pool.

The Beach

As you can see on the photo, it has crystal clear water but the sand was mixed with small coral stones and shells so i suggest not to walk barefoot or you might got some wounds from sharp stones.

I like the ambiance of the resort. It is a nature-friendly place, very clean and the staff’s were very accommodating. In all fairness to the resort’s management.

The resort has live band every night, starting at 8pm until 11pm, to entertain the guests. Many of the guests really have fun and enjoyed jamming with the singer/comedienne on stage.

The following day, that was low tide. We found different amazing sea creatures- seashells, starfishes and sea urchins.

I also took photos of plants there and this one really caught my attention...

We bought fresh buko (coconut) for only 25php, it’s really refreshing even without ice.

And this is the end of my little sharing of our Holy Week vacation at Punta Tierra Blanca Beach Resort - Catanauan, Quezon, Philippines.
