In 1883, it was reported that many ships that sailed to southern Africa experienced a tsunami shock and found many bodies floating off the shore, this terrible event occurred precisely in August 1883. Actually what happened?

One of the deadliest and most devastating natural disasters ever reported in the Dutch East Indies or better known as Indonesia today, a natural disaster was caused by the eruption of the mountain of Krakatoa.

Where is Mount Krakatoa?
Mount Krakatoa is located in Indonesia precisely in the Sunda Strait, Krakatoa mountain is among the volcanic island remains of ancient Krakatoa mountain. On an island where the mountain Krakatoa (mountain Rakta) is located has two other mountains, the two mountains are called to appear after the mountain Krakatoa present first.

How did the phases up to Krakatoa erupt?
Experts say that the eruption of Krakatoa volcano in 1883 was the greatest eruption after its last activity 200 years ago. This eruption is also the last activity of Krakatoa.

Mount Krakatoa activity has been started since May 1883, recorded height of volcanic ash reaches a height of 6 km and the sound of crushing eruption sounded up to a radius of 160 km, the activity of Krakatoa finally subsided at the end of May in the same year.

June 16, 1883, happened again eruption more violent and cause black cloud covering Krakatoa island up to five days. This second eruption caused many boats to be moored at the harbor, the volcanic earthquake feels Anyar or about 55 km from Krakatoa.

Four eruptions occurred on August 27, 1883, each triggering a tsunami toward Betung bay and to various directions with a wave height of up to 40 m and even a fourth eruption was heard to the city of Perth, Australia. Of the four eruptions, the Dutch East Indies government noted there were tens of thousands of people killed.

The last eruption was the most kill and recorded eruption in history that the crashing eruption reached 1.086 km/h, a British ship captain sir Norham Castle noted.

So powerful was the explosion that made eardrum more than my half crew broken out. My last thought was my beloved wife. I think doomsday has arrived

Though the ship is located about 64 km from the source of the eruption.

How did it happen?
The eruption of Krakatoa volcano has actually exceeded the limits of human hearing tolerance and generates very high-pressure airwaves. The sound waves caused by the crashing eruptions reverberate throughout the earth for several days, at a distance of 4800 km eruption sound began to weaken so it sounded like the sound of cannon from a distance.

Several tidal monitoring stations from different countries reported that the echoing sound waves caused the water level to rise, simultaneous with the sound waves captured by the monitoring station.

In addition to causing high-pressure airwaves, the harsh sound of a crushed mountain eruption also triggered rising sea levels.

Due to the eruption of Krakatoa Mountain
The eruption of the Krakatoa volcano in 1883 resulted in many islands around Krakatoa having sunk and until 1888 it was known that the weather systems were irregular. From other sources also mentioned that more than 120,000 people have been killed and many countries have sent bodies of bodies that have been floating for months at sea, also mentioned the eruption affects the health, economic and political conditions of some countries.

CONCLUSION

The Krakatoa Mountain is a mountain in the Sunda Strait and erupted in 1883, the crushing eruption was considered to be one of the deadliest natural disasters because, in addition to volcanic earthquakes, tsunamis, hot clouds, the effects of air pressure caused by very loud sound also resulting in an irregularity in the earth's weather systems up to several years after the explosion.

Natural disasters are a natural and repeatable process, but we do not know when the disaster will come, so we are required to remain vigilant and alert.

Although now we have a technology that is much better than before, does not mean we can fully rely on the technology, because when Krakatoa erupted volcano has been rumored there is a technology that predicts it. So stay alert and still love your family.

This is the only thing I can write on this occasion, over all the mistakes and lack of unintentional writing as a servant of God, I apologize.

A very complete discussion.Every eruption of the mountain is closely related to the movement of the earth's plates that cause earthquakes and trigger tsunami.Lots of active volcanoes like sinabung, in Aceh Burni Telong to watch out for by the community, this explosion can also lead to various deadly effects.B Disasters can be predicted but the secret of God we do not know. What we must realize, let us care more about the environment and get closer to God, for the calamity that continues to befall this nation.Terimakasih telah berbagi ilmu yang bermamfaat ini @kharrazi.

It was a terrible disaster with enormous adverse effects. Not only took the lives of many people, but also damaged the economic sector of several countries.

The events of natural disasters should be a lesson for today's society to be more alert and responsive. Because past natural disasters are part of history, and history is bound to repeat itself, though we do not know when it will happen. That is why disaster mitigation is very important to all of us.

In addition, it is also important for us to keep reminding each other, as you do through this article, so that many people will know the history of some natural disasters in the past. Thanks for sharing @kharrazi. You have tried to write well so easily understood by the reader.

A very precious and difficult history for us to forget
