Love at first sight

Hi steemians,
Glad to write here again. So I got a little gist. Today after my classes, I decided to hangout with a girlfriend of mine. Somewhere along the line she mentioned that she's got a thing for this dude she's only met once. What got me intrigued was what she said "I got the spark on seeing him, bae". This got me thinking, does love at first sight still exist (if ever it existed) or it's just a cliché or probably an unhealthy obsession? Okay, I'm going to be real here so sit back and read on.

Personally I believe that 1 out of 20 people who claim to be in love at first sight actually are genuine about it, the rest can pass for mere sexual attraction. Maybe it’s just physical, or it’s the way they’re dressed, smiling, or how they appear deeply involved in something you love doing. Sometimes the feeling may not be mutual. I love the idea of two people looking at each other and electricity flying around them; it's feels so romantic just thinking about it but some people may argue that it only happens in movies. The "Big" question is how long does this spark last especially after you get to know the person's character? For me, I don't think it ever lasts.

So steemians what's your take on this subject, I'd love to hear your different perspectives. Does it actually exist?? If you've had an experience on this subject you'd love to share please do.
