Do you believe in ghosts?

Let me start with the popular legend of the vanishing hitchhiker. I guess we all one way or the other have heard about the story where the doctor by the name Eckersall was driving home from a country club dance late one Saturday night. On getting to the intersection, he was surprised to see a lovely young girl dressed in the sheerest of evening gowns, beckoning on him for a lift.He stopped the car and motioned her to to climb into the back seat. What on earth is a youngster like you doing out here alone he asked?....."its too long a story to tell you now"said the girl......please please take me home, I'll explain everything there. The address is-North Charles Street.
The doctor murmured and set the car in motion. He drove to the address and as he pulled up before the shuttered house,he said, "here we are."And as he turned around,the back seat was empty!
"What the hell"the doctor murmured to himself. The girl couldnt possibly have fallen from the car. He went out and rang insistently on the doorbell.At last a grey haired very tired looking man peered out at him. "I can't tell you what an amazing thing has happened "began the doctor. A young girl gave me this address a while ago, I brought her here and...........

"Yes,i know"said the man wearily"this incident has happened several other Saturday evenings in the past months. That girl was my daughter and she died several years ago in a car accident at that intersection.
People believe that this legend is based on a true life story.But come to think of it,i was not there and you weren't there either. As we all know "seeing is believing ".So how sure are we that ghost actually exist?.I guess it's something we would never be certain about. Some people believe they actually exist while some people dont!!!!
