Making Great Progress on the App Description Infrastructure!
I've been hard at work on these individual app pages for the page I announced last week.
This page will feature all of the Steem apps and will also allow a reader to click on each app and get a detailed description and user guide for the app/dapp/tool.
I've felt the need for something like this for a while now. I noticed it originally in my early days on the blockchain but as the blockchain grew and more and more apps/tools came out, the need has gotten even higher.
It's great to see some other sites putting information out and many of these sites are helping to inspire my own layout as well. Quality information that is presented in a quality way is what I'm going for here.
I've made a lot of progress since the last update, here's the Steemit page so far. Next on the list to do are the following:
- Steemit Get Started Guide
- Steemit User Guide
When you first land on the page, you will see the above (desktop view.. site is mobile responsive as well)
The first main section of the page is called Overview. It's just a general overview of the app and what it is primarily used for. The what and why would you use it was my intention with this, tell me what you think in the comments!
The User Guide and the Get Started Guide will be displayed here, right after the overview section. I'm still writing those up and they will take some more time. Below those will be recent posts that are related to the app/dapp/tool being talked about. Here, for example, is a post about creating a Steem account to use on Steemit or any other Steem app.

That is quite some work. There is also a steemonboarding team doing similar I believe. It took me months to figure out that you can alos use other dapps than steemit to arrive on your steemaccount. In the future more will use partiko, ulog and what have you. They also have to make clear how things work but the account creation is the important thing and here you can be helpfull.
