Honesty doesn't just apply to being honest with others, it also applies to being honest with yourself and your abilities. Self-awareness is a trait that can guide you towards success in anything you're working on. If you have self-awareness, you'll know when you're on the right path, when you're doing the right thing and when and how you need to course correct if you're not.
I think a practical way to build your self-awareness is to journal your experiences and thoughts every day. I've been doing it for several years now and can honestly say that journaling has completely changed the way I think and act. Whenever I have a big decision to make, I like to write them in my journal for a few days alongside my thoughts about those decisions and how they might play out - I feel like doing this gives me an almost birds-eye perspective on whatever decision I'm making.
Question of the day: What do you all think of this type of post? I've never made a steepshot before and I think these short-form posts may be a nice addition to my daily posting routine. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Short post are also good and you can add these to your daily posting routine. Infact steemian are now like short content post than long post. We have very less time to read and content available is vast. Thanks for motivation quotes.

But in my honest opinion this steepshot platform is best for sharing a quick photo about life. Maybe if you wanted to share a picture of work in progress or the color of the kitchen cabinets or a chapter in your book. It's kind of like we used to do in fb. I have been experimenting with things and haven't found these platforms suitable to my writing. Zappl is so short I end up editing it later. Stepshot is similar.
I am still learning markdown for different things and posting takes a long time but in the end. I know you are busy with projects and taking time to answer comments. But I find people like a good story and a challenge.

I'm definitely going to keep posting long-form Steemit articles, that's my go-to form of content. I do like the idea of doing separate content on these other platforms, but would love a way to hide certain posts from my Steemit feed... I think if you post on Zappl, your Zap should be visible only on there... Just like how tweets are visible on twitter and not on reddit (unless specifically shared there).. I've done a lot of searching and haven't found a way to do this yet, I'm hoping it's implemented soon!
Yes. Exactly. Wow. You know exactly what I mean. That would be awesome. I feel like my blog is being polluted but at the same time these things are necessary for a quick snapshot.
Well, like you rightly said, honesty cuts across all aspects of our lives. Honesty earns you trust, turst not just from others but from yourself as well. A person who isn't honest to himself can't trust his ability to do things or to even succeed. A lot of people live a lie and it's very bad.
About your question for the day...
I think it's owk to make short posts like this once in a while though . A lot of steemit apps gives Ur that leverage. With dtube,zapple,steepshot etc we can comfortably make short posts . As long as the post is straight to the point and meaningful then you are good to go.

I agree! Lying may seem like the shortcut in the moment, but it will always cause more problems than it "fixes". Doing the right thing is always the right thing!

This is cool, what is steepshot? I think these shorter form posts are a great way to have more consistent posting, I think eventually I want to make a posting "schedule" where I do shorter posts once a day and longer posts once a day or something like that, maybe even have certain types of posts on certain days.

Thanks @jakeybrown! Steepshot is basically instagram for Steem. That's exactly what I'm attempting to do: a regular posting schedule with shorter posts filling in the gaps between longer posts. I'd prefer if these were visible only on Zappl or Steepshot and not on my Steemit feed so that there can be a nice filtration, hopefully that feature will become available soon!
I also agree, it can be really hard to take an honest look at yourself, but judging others comes very easy!

I this sometime it is needed, having a steepshot that can be read on the go is a good idea, i think you should add it to the other stuffs you blog about.

I have also started to journal recently using the 5 minute journal method to keep it easy and structured, I am also finding it quiet beneficial.
My wife @superwhale has been using steepshot to post, but she uses it more like instagram than posting pics. She has been enjoying it and she seems to be building followers easily as abeginner with her great pics.
I like how you stated the fact that you write your big decisions down and take you time finding the conclusion. I will copy you on this since I think in my head and come to a conclusion way too fast. As I stated last time you should keep these post up! You will give out ideas and great advice to your followers!

Yes, sometimes you will need to pass short messages across. And platforms like Steepshot and Zappl will be a wonderful tool for that. But then it has to be used with moderation so they won't clog your blog.
