[PW#16] Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque: "Because All Of Us Loves The Beauty"

A view of high worship buildings looming and full of charm, this building comes with a majestic feel like a kingdom. It's named Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque, which is located in Meulaboh, West Aceh, Indonesia. Its grandeur is undoubtedly and has mentioned in the 100 Most Beautiful Indonesian Mosque (read: 100 Masjid Terindah Indonesia) written by Teddy Tjokrosaputro, Aryananda.

Well, the fusion of architectural ideas obviously and finally produced a charming building with a feel of the Middle East, Asia, and Aceh. This magnificent building merges as a whole and certainly always brings peace when someone does worship in it.

The real panorama created when we visit this building are the three main domes flanked by two water domes on the right and left sides, the dome and the edges together form a cool mix between Middle Eastern and Asian architecture in the form of a rounded dome and a sharp tip. The combination of bright red and brick red applied to the dome makes the dome a calm and relaxing colour when viewed.

The first impression that visitors get when visiting this mosque will be seen when they pass through the gate which stands firmly a few meters from the core of these mosques. The mosque's gate is very charming even if only for "an entrance". True, the initial impression is an important point for how someone will enjoy it further afterwards. The first glance is so tempting, then it's up to you.

When entering the inside of the mosque, you will be stunned to see the magnificent beauty of this mosque. The inside of this mosque has two different concepts, there is a section that is occupied by many pillars supporting the second floor, and on the other side, there is a spacious and spacious room decorated with many decorative lights in the middle.

The Middle East nuances created with the dominance of brown and golden colours in the bronze material used makes the mosque elegant and so charming. Soothing beauty is created for every visitor who visits this mosque. This heart is reluctant to leave immediately after seeing it after doing worship in it. This heart wants to linger to enjoy the comfortable created while there.

Now, this mosque is the grandest mosque and particularly is the pride of the people in West Aceh, and Acehnese in general. The existence of this mosque makes the economic system of the people of West Aceh better because being a destination that must be visited by many people. This mosque is an era of resurrection in West Aceh after the Tsunami devastated this city in 2004. At that time, this mosque became a gathering point and shelter for all people in West Aceh and even food aid and other humanitarian assistance was sent down here.

Now, the people of West Aceh has risen by building up all forms of the potential it has, making it excellent in every direction of tourist destinations from many visitors outside the area who want to 'calm the mind', spending free time in a soothing place with family and kinsman in this mosque.

Historically, this magnificent and charming mosque was officially used for the public on June 1, 1999, with a capacity of around 7,000 people. The mosque building area reaches 3500 square meters, while the land area reaches 6000 square meters. Amazing

The caretaker of this mosque continues to make improvements and improvements to the building of this magnificent mosque, they also get full support from the government in this city to continue to display the magnificent mosque that is charming and certainly comfortable.

To reach this mosque in the city of Meulaboh from the provincial capital in Banda Aceh takes about 5 unti 6 hours with a distance of about 175 km from the city of Banda Aceh. Baitul Makmur Great Mosque in West Aceh has become an important icon of this city and is one of the magnificent place in West Aceh, in addition to several other tourist attractions here. The existence of a beautiful mosque has raised the name of this city to be known by the public.
