Qəbələ şəhərinin tarixi eramızdan əvvəllərə gedib çıxır. Şəhərin dağılmış qala divarları buraların nə qədər qədim bir yerlər olduğundan xəbər verir.
Bu qala divarları şəhərin giriş qapısı olub yəqin ki. Qədim Albaniyanın paytaxt şəhəri olan Qəbələ bir çox tarixçilərin əsərlərində adı çəkilir. Buradan aparılan arxeoloji qazıntılar nəticəsində topaq altında qalan şəhər üzə çıxıb.
Burada olan qəbirlər "katakomba" adlanan qəbirlərdir. Ölən insanın bütün əşyaları hamısı həmin qəbirin içərisinə yığılırmış.
Tarix burada daşlarda yaşayır.
