Operation BSDMS: Create, Curate, and Share!
Getting into the spirit of my recent post about soul as currency and embracing difficulty, I've suddenly thought of the idea of making use of Bernie Sander's Dank Meme Stash on Facebook for some cheap, guerilla marketing. It's now a community of 460,000 people, and I've been in it since sub-20k during the meme wars between the presidential candidates (I'm not even American, btw). Anyway, it's one of the funniest, most laidback communities found between all the political candidates (putting aside notions of statism or whatever -isms, alright).
So yup, just hit me up with a message (on Steemit.chat) whenever you create something that may interest this "outside" community, and I'll try to get it approved. Or just submit it yourself lol. It could be something old, and doesn't even have to be memes. Similarly, we can share out relevant stuff to just about any community online. So feel free to talk about the communities that you've experienced and I'm sure some of us content mercenaries will try to whip something up.
Yes, I know I had quite a weird past-time. But I just find the stubborn, persistent old man charming lol.

Maybe we shall create such groups here on Steemit? Until we have a good method, we can use the tag?
Yeah I guess tag works. @jesta's working on a forum-based layout as well that sorts according to tags. It's kinda neat :)

We shall integrate social media and forum within Steemit; Steemit kind-of advanced Wikipedia + HOWTO + Can You Help Me + Social Media + huge FUN element in it. That will grow the site for sure.
Then Steemit can add revenue models by offering feeds / channels to 3rd parties who want to keep their followers outside Steemit engaged within Steemit and having them paying for it. I'll stop here, since I'm getting of topic big time! :)
Yup, that's onf of the better plans that I can think of, there's a good reason to seed communities that are funnelled in through businesses, keep the engagement organic. At least be one of the first biz to bridge people into crypto and the brand will stay. Don't have to go all ads-y on Steemit. But of course, this would need a more stable price to pull off :P lol. Will see what happens.
Stable price is indeed required, SBD may be the prime currency to use actually. Think of business channels, maybe even per business its own channel. Channels are therefore for interaction with those who want to interact with a specific company. Content could be much more than just advertisement, it shall be engagement and interactive channels, not just push channels. General Advertisement channel may also be available, but Ad's shall not be mixed in our own feeds, unless we opt-in for the specific business channels of our choice.
Hahaha! I was never aware of this community, though of course I've seen a whole bunch of Bernie memes throughout the internet. Now I know where they all came from :) Must say, President Trump's actions has been great fodder for the group.

There are many communities on FB that can be infiltrated quite conveniently, just throwing this out there as a start :) What communities are you on FB? If you're using it..
I rarely use Facebook... But now I'll consider looking for some. The wall like view is probably better for sharing memes than Reddit :)

Oh definitely, although I'd say busy.org got it right for the dynamically sized first-pics. Steemit's fixed pic doesn't do well on desktop.. although I guess there might be good reasons for it to be like reddit?
Ah, yes! Maybe Busy can be Steem's meme frontend :)
