DON'T STOP BELIEVING!

Our topic for the day is all about:

DON'T STOP BELIEVING!

I talked to a connection last night (yes, I actually to talk my connections) about him thinking of a career change.

He told me he felt stuck in his professional career. He is self-employed, doing well but wanted to do something else. He sold cars 20 yrs ago & wanted to talk to me about getting back into it.

He had 2 things he was concerned about:

1. His family & being able to support them going to a new job.

2. How different is the car business since he was last in it.

The only thing I could tell him is we all have felt stuck at one tim. Its not easy to change careers & face the uncertainty of what it may bring. Especially when it's your family's welfare that is at risk.

I told him everyone keeps telling me the car business is not the same & I live in the past. Thats not entirely true. Since he last sold cars, we have the internet/social media now but the process is the same.

There is some adjustments that need to be made but not an overhaul. No matter what people say, the car business boils down to 4 things. My price, your trade in, money down & payments. People try to say that's old school but it's the facts.

I asked him to take away the fear of the unknown. Does he trust his abilities. He said yes he does.

That's what counts. He will do fine.
